NEW Date of Event: July 24-26, 2009
Location: Portland, Oregon, USA
OK! It's update time!
As of Wednesday, July 22, 2009,
all of the prep work is DONE! We are ready to
rock & roll. In all senses of the words. This promises
to be the largest and most extravagant Portland (Oregon)
Palooza in history. As of Wednesday, we have sold more
advance tickets to this event, than for any prior
PDX Palooza. Participants will be arriving from at
least four
of the USA States, and one girl may be coming from
France.
There will be at least one performance by Toxic Zombie.
For those of you who are not current on the most recent
PacNW indy band gossip, Toxic Zombie is a
just-about-to-break-into-the-BIG-time independent Pacific NW
punk/psychobilly/rock band. Check out their web page.
_TZ_
What this means to you, is that you will be able to attend
a TZ performance...which is worth about $30.00 USD...for no
extra charge. And...you are allowed to take photos. And...
you can meet the band. And... you can pose with the dancers/singers.
Why would you want to pose with the dancers/singers? Uhh, check
out the web page. Really. Zombie chix are HOT!
The Jupiter Hotel is FULL. By this, I mean that
we reserved a block of rooms, at a special rate,
for Palooza people. Those rooms are now gone. Sold
out. We are currently recommending that people
reserve rooms at the local Travelodge. Check the
official RockyPalooza 7 web page for more info. (Click
on the button that says CLICK.)
A draft of the official program/guide is out.
_GUIDE_
Please note that ANYTHING in this guide MAY CHANGE.
We are still making final adjustments and firming-up
details. I will update the guide when possible and
as necessary.
After all is said and done...the bottom line is
easy to understand... For Portland, Oregon, this
is going to be a monster Rocky event. People will
be talking about it for years. And there will not be
another Palooza in Portland until 2011. Or later. If you
miss this one, you will be annoyed with yourself
for at least the next two years. If nothing else, you should
attend one of the two shadow-cast presentations of
the Rocky Horror Picture Show. There will be one on
Friday, and another on Saturday. Different casts.
You can enjoy either performance while sitting in the
Clinton Street Theater. Where the Rocky Horror Picture
Show has been showing weekly, non-stop, for more than
twenty years. Longer than any other theater in the
world. Really.

NW RockyPalooza Six? No way! Really? Sweeeeeeet!!
Can we have a party on top of the hotel
again? (Oh. I'm not supposed to talk about
anything we ever did on a hotel roof? Sorry.
My bad.)
Yes folks, it's time for another Seattle Palooza!
If you haven't been to a Palooza, then you've yet
to truly live. And if you've never been to a Seattle
Palooza, then you've never done things, on the roof
of a hotel, that could get you into mountains of
trouble were you ever to speak of
them. This Palooza is being produced by the VTC.
The Vicarious Theater Company. And I fully
expect this Palooza to be at least as crazed as any
prior VTC event. I can't wait for this one. I'm
overdue for some recreation.
Time to start saving my lunch money.

It's time for... NW RockyPalooza Five!!! (Huh?
What's with this "Five"? What happened to "Four"?
Well, I got busy. Had to earn some money, had to pay the
rent. Stuff like that. So, I didn't go to RockyPalooza Four,
and didn't update the web sites.
Sorry about that. Complaints are accepted every February 29th
from 11:55 PM/PST until midnight. (For Scott only...complaints
will be accepted all day on February 30th, but must be
submitted in writing, in triplicate, and in Japanese.) That being
said... This year's PDX Palooza looks like it might degenerate
into still another senseless bout of gratuitous hedonism and
debauched socialization.
I'm really, really looking forward to it.

Wheee! There is about to be another PDX Palooza!
(Note to any anthro students: PDX = Portland
International Airport...but all us locals/natives
use the three letter code to refer to the
city itself.)
I spent the last PDX Palooza living (partying) in a room at
the local Motel 666.
It was...interesting. I think that the night security
guard threatened to throw me out (personally) about 3-4
different times. Seems as though the daytime management
had neglected
to tell him that we were going to be there... This year
we're staying at the Jupiter Hotel. Never been there
before, but I like the name.

The VTC is having a Palooza. The VTC is one of
the signature RHPS casts for the Pacific NorthWest.
Your life-long
Rocky Horror experience is incomplete if
you have never seen these folks perform.
If you knew the VTC
(and Veronica in particular) as I do,
then you would happily
sell your Mother's favorite underwear to earn
enough money to attend. This is one of the
major Rocky Horror events of the year. Don't
miss it.

This is the same event as listed directly above.
It's listed twice because I really like the
people in the VTC. This is the
Forbidden Palooza
version of their splash page. Why is this
Palooza forbidden?
Well...actually...I am not sure. But
then I was born and raised in West
Virginia. I lack inhibitions in
certain areas.

This event (as I write this HTML code)
is over. And I didn't get to attend.
{Our villain frowns and hangs his head.}
And I really wanted to go, too.
For a number of reasons, nobody from the
PDX Rocky Tribe got to go. Our apologies
to the
Back Row Productions
players.

This event is over. If you didn't go, then you
missed a very fine time. Event photos are
viewable at
www.epix.com.
Go to the photo gallery, and look for the
special event photos. And yes...as I write
this HTML code, only about 25% of the photos
for this event have been posted.
As mentioned elsewhere,
non-profit activities always get a
lower priority than income-producing
work.
